At Pima Lung and Sleep, PC, we specialize in comprehensive pulmonary and sleep medicine care. Our two sleep laboratories in Tucson and Green Valley are accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and we are the only practice in Southern Arizona with two accredited sleep centers. We have a long history of training future sleep technologists and healthcare professionals and are known for strong clinical instruction and mentorship.
Role Description
We are hiring a Sleep Technologist to join our clinical team in Tucson, AZ. This is a full-time, on-site role involving overnight sleep studies and patient monitoring to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. You will work directly with physicians and experienced technologists in a clinical environment focused on high-quality patient care and technical excellence.
Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates will receive hands-on training in all aspects of polysomnography, including patient setup, acquisition systems, monitoring, and interpretation. Training also includes positive airway pressure therapies such as CPAP and BiPAP.
This role is well-suited for students considering medical school, PA programs, nursing, respiratory therapy, or other health-related careers, as well as those seeking long-term work in sleep medicine.
Responsibilities
• Perform overnight polysomnography studies
• Apply and monitor EEG, EKG, EOG, EMG, respiratory, and oxygen sensors
• Monitor physiological signals and maintain data quality throughout studies
• Identify and document sleep events and technical issues
• Assist with CPAP and BiPAP titration
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of sleep equipment
• Record detailed notes and follow documentation protocols
• Support patient comfort, safety, and education
Qualifications
• Interest in sleep medicine or clinical healthcare
• Willingness to learn patient monitoring and technical systems
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism
• Ability to work overnight shifts
• Ability to work independently and in a clinical team environment
• BRPT certification is preferred but not required
• Certification sponsorship and training provided for the right candidate
• Associate degree in a related field preferred but not required
