Omakase Server – Kinjo (DUMBO, Brooklyn)

Kinjo is an intimate, high-end omakase restaurant located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We are seeking a professional, service-driven Omakase Server to join our team and deliver a refined, seamless dining experience rooted in Japanese hospitality.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, chef-driven environment and understands the rhythm, pacing, and discretion required in an omakase setting.

• Deliver warm, precise, and anticipatory service in an intimate omakase environment

• Work in close coordination with the sushi chef to ensure proper pacing and guest flow

• Clearly explain the omakase progression, ingredients, and beverage offerings when appropriate

• Maintain full knowledge of the menu, sourcing, sake, wine, and Japanese spirits

• Set, reset, and maintain the counter with exceptional cleanliness and organization

• Uphold Kinjo’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and discretion

• Handle guest needs with confidence, grace, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fine dining experience (omakase or sushi experience strongly preferred)

• Strong understanding of high-touch, counter-style service

• Knowledge of sake and Japanese cuisine is a plus (training provided)

• Calm, polished demeanor with excellent communication skills

• Team-oriented, punctual, and detail-focused

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
