Senior Frontend Engineer

Location: Onsite in West Palm Beach, FL

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 base + equity

As part of its expansion, the engineering team is hiring a frontend leader to help shape how users experience and connect with AI through elegant, responsive, and real-time web applications.

The Role

The Senior Frontend React Developer (AI Interface) will take ownership of building the web experience that defines how users engage with the company’s AI platform.

You’ll architect and develop a fast, seamless, and beautiful interface that transforms complex real-time data streams from AI models into a natural, conversational experience.

This role blends technical excellence with design sensitivity — perfect for a frontend engineer who cares deeply about both performance and user emotion in digital interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Develop the Frontend: Lead the development of a modern React-based application , making architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Build Real-Time AI Experiences: Implement a live conversational interface integrating with backend services via WebSockets for streaming audio, transcriptions, and AI responses.
• Manage Complex State: Leverage modern React Hooks and state management solutions to handle authentication, conversation history, and live AI session states.
• Collaborate on UI/UX: Work closely with designers and product managers to translate wireframes and prototypes into pixel-perfect, responsive, and emotionally intelligent interfaces.
• Optimize for Speed & Performance: Profile and optimize for rendering performance across devices and browsers to ensure a smooth real-time user experience.
• Write High-Quality Code: Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern testing and review practices.

About You

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with a strong focus on React.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of React architecture and modern state management patterns.
• Proven experience building real-time web applications using WebSockets.
• Proficient in RESTful API integration and asynchronous data handling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud deployment workflows.
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to build clean, beautiful, and intuitive user interfaces.
• Genuine interest in AI, conversational interfaces, and human-computer interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Knowledge of frontend testing tools such as Jest or React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with UI animation libraries (e.g., Framer Motion).
• Exposure to avatar or animation-based UI systems.
• Experience deploying apps to Azure Static Web Apps.
