JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee combined sewer system.
•This is a non-supervisory position.
•Plans, directs, oversees, and coordinates the operational activities of the assigned area. Manages projects, systems, work processes, or work plans based on complex data. Compiles, verifies, and assembles complex information for others. Provides guidance and support related to complex technical projects and studies and recommends implementation methods and solutions. As assigned, provides customer service and communication of problem resolutions for complex issues.
•Manages the engineering design process, including reviewing and analyzing detailed plan designs/technical studies, and processing applications/permits, change orders, and other documentation for proposed development or improvement projects. Ensures compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. As assigned, may prepare, coordinate, review, and oversee the scope of work design documents, specifications, or agendas. Reviews and approves plan specifications and develops contract documents, as required.
•Develops and monitors assigned budget, reviews and submits funding requests, and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget. Prepares and presents budget recommendations.
•Maintains logs, tracking systems, and specialized databases. As assigned, enters, retrieves, and analyzes data. Prepares and presents reports; enters routine, technical, and specialized data into department computer systems. As assigned, prepares requests for proposals and bid packages. Generates routine documents such as correspondence, manuals, electronic mail, requisitions, and purchase orders.
-Serves as key point of contact/liaison with internal/external departments or agencies. Meets with project coordinators such as consulting engineers, City representatives, and contractors; determines projected needs/use levels according to established models. Attends departmental, progress, and other meetings.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor's Degree in engineering
3-5 years full cycle project management - site plan review for sanitary/sewer (budgeting, scheduling)
