Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery & Spine
Location: San Antonio, TX
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | On-call/Weekend shift once a month
Pay: $100,000–$130,000/year, based on experience + full benefits package
A well-established neurosurgery and spine practice in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team full-time. This role offers a dynamic mix of clinic, hospital, and surgical responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide care to neurosurgery and spine patients in both clinic and hospital settings
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising neurosurgeon
• Identify cases requiring consultation, referral, or further evaluation
• First-assist in surgery, including closure of deep and superficial wounds
• Assist in cranial and spinal procedures, including those involving instrumentation and microscopic techniques
• Perform daily hospital rounds, including ICU patients
• Review and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT) and lab results in coordination with the attending neurosurgeon
Requirements:
• Active Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of experience in both surgical and outpatient settings
• Experience in neurosurgery or spine care strongly preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
