Job Description

The Operations Specialist is responsible for the planning, scheduling and dispatching of our customers' freight. The role owns the relationship with our valued customers and freight agents and is instrumental in the successful coordination of the timely and accurate delivery of goods. The key responsibilities of this function are to provide exceptional support to our customers, be quick to respond to questions and troubleshooting concerns and to proactively plan, schedule and monitor the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction.

Competitive Compensation : $50,000 - $65,000/annually

Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.

Available Schedule : Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the quoting, scheduling, dispatching and planning of customer freight shipments
• Develop a strong relationship with Independent Agents within local regions
• Monitor shipments throughout transit in order to effectively meet delivery schedules
• Respond to customers efficiently, thoroughly, and professionally
• Manage customer and driver expectations to align with operational capabilities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

• Self-motivated problem-solver with strong desire to meet customer needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Skills :

• Ideal candidate will possess a “can do" attitude with a “will do" work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
• Prior dispatch/load planning experience is a plus

Job Details :

• Job Type: Full-time
• Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000/annually dependent on experience
• Benefits: Paid Time Off, Sick Days, Health Insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% company match
