Your role in our mission

  • This position is a contractual required position for the Medi-Cal MMIS account for the Department of Healthcare Service.
  • The Nurse Consultant is responsible for responding to referrals from DHCS within 4 hours of notification.
  • Reviewing policy and attending meetings with DHCS
  • Process claims requiring Medical Review expertise from a Medical Specialist and responding to referrals from internal departments.

What we're looking for

  • Experienced Registered Nurse with strong background in direct patient care.
  • Experienced in the healthcare industry in insurance, provider support, as well as experienced in business analysis.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, create and/or follow project schedules, and adhere to internal timelines, client deadlines, and delivery deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills. Comfortable with Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams.
  • Strong typing skills.

What you should expect in this role

  • Must be a resident of the state of California.
  • Primarily remote work. May occasionally report onsite for meetings, special training requests, or other business needs. The office is in West Sacramento.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity is required.
  • Highly collaborative and interactive team and role.
  • Accountability for individual work assignments and projects.

 

This position is for pipeline purposes, and we welcome applications on an ongoing basis.

 

The pay range for this position is $92,900.00 - $132,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
