Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Operations Technician support the Sheboygan site with daily maintenance activities and assist the Maintenance Department to keep the entire site running. Learn how a maintenance department operates in a growing industrial environment while working on tasks such as observing maintenance activities, performing time studies, digitizing tasks, improving the shop area, and tagging equipment in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use computer skills or mechanical ability to support maintenance work.
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned and contribute to department goals.
• Maintain excellent attendance and follow schedule requirements.
• Use proper documentation practices.
• Accept guidance from supervisors and technicians.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Suggest improvements to processes when possible.
• Stay self-motivated, productive, and meet assigned deadlines.
• Read, understand, and follow all work instructions and procedures.
• Use software such as CMMS, web browsers, Word, Excel, and email.
• Learn and redline drawings, including various types of schematics.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment (grinder, drill press, sandblaster, band saw, etc.) with guidance.
• Read gauges, understand units of measure, and use precision measuring tools.
• Work well with the Maintenance team and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Able to work and collaborate with Maintenance personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior work experience.
• Vocational training or shop-related training.
• Relevant high-school classes (e.g., shop, technical education, mechanics).
