Job Description

Our client is seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor to lead their surveying operations in Franklin, TN. This senior‑level role requires 10+ years of experience and a Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor license. You will manage multiple field crews, oversee project budgets, ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, and represent the company with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee QA/QC, budgets, billing, and client relationships.
• Direct and manage survey crews, ensuring quality and safety.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation for survey plan preparation.
• Support business development and represent the company in client meetings.
• Assemble field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor license (active)
• 10+ years of surveying experience, including 3+ years in management.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation (Inroads preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction surveying regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning, or sUAS.

Working Conditions:

• Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
• Office environment 95% of the time; occasional field work required.
• Field work may involve outdoor conditions (heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid)
