Job Description

Working on behalf of an industry leading options market making firm looking to hire into their Philadelphia office. The firm are looking to add a C++ Software Developer to join a team responsible for designing and developing low-latency trading systems for their Index Desk. As a developer on this team, you will work closely with some of the best traders, researchers and developers in the business. You will largely contributing to improving trading capabilities by providing innovative, scalable and stable systems.

In this role you will:

• Make an impact on a successful desk working directly with traders.
• Propose new ideas or gather requirements for additional functionality, both of which are brought into production quickly through our short development cycles.
• Propose and investigate new technologies to help us stay ahead.
• You’ll be designing and optimizing systems that process massive amounts of data, ensuring high performance and stability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent
• 8+ years of progressive experience developing software applications or HFT infrastructure.
• Experience with object oriented design and software development in a high-performance / high throughput environment using C++ (preferably in a Linux environment) is required
• Finance experience is ideal but the firm are also keen to see strong out of industry candidates,

Compensation packages for this role are highly competitive and top relocation package if you are relocating from within the US. For this position the firm are open to both people with industry experience and out of industry.
