Your Mission

Own the reliability and performance of a high-speed, 3-piece metal food can line. Under the guidance of an Operations Team Lead and/or Department Manager, you will operate, maintain, and continuously improve complex machinery while living our values of Passion, Teamwork, and Excellence.

Your First 90 Days

  1. Week 1–2: Master site safety protocols; complete daily/department safety checks; learn GMP’s, HACCP Principle, and Food Safety Policy/Standard.
  2. Week 3–6: Run equipment under supervision; perform quality checks and required documentation; execute routine maintenance and assist with changeovers.
  3. Week 7–12: Independently troubleshoot; complete preventive/predictive work orders; support breakdown repairs; partner with Advanced Operator Technicians on installations, replacements, and mechanical improvements.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Advanced machine operation including changeovers and independent troubleshooting.
  • Daily machine care, preventive/predictive maintenance, and breakdown repair execution.
  • Quality verifications with thorough documentation to meet customer expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence initiatives and 5S/housekeeping.
  • Inventory support: transactions, counts, and general forklift/material movements.
  • Timely processing of hold material (sorting and inspection).
  • Receipt, storage, and inventory of processing chemicals used in metal food packaging.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • English communication skills (written and verbal) as the business language.
  • Computer literacy adequate for inventory-based transactions.

  • Lean manufacturing familiarity; proven maintenance and troubleshooting capability, including preventive maintenance.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years’ manufacturing experience (required).
  • Forklift/material handling experience (preferred).
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency validated through standardized mechanical testing.

Schedule & Shifts

  • Average hours per week: 40 or 36/48 alternating
  • Usual shift worked is: 8 or 12 hours
  • Must be willing to work all rotating or permanent shifts, including day and night 8 and/or 12 hour shifts, weekends and holidays.

You’ll operate in a very loud production area where hearing protection and all assigned PPE are mandatory. Temperatures vary widely (<40°F to >90°F). Expect strong vibrations, frequent alarms, and exposure to fumes, dust, odors, and chemicals used in metal manufacturing.

Core physical activities include standing, walking, handling/gripping/pulling, and speaking/hearing. You’ll frequently reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl (including in confined spaces). Work includes computer/screen time. Vision needs include close and distance vision plus color recognition; excellent hand–eye coordination is essential. You will work on, in, and around conveyors and high-speed mechanical equipment in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
