NOW HIRING (5 Openings): Drywall Hanger/Finisher – Commercial | Portland–Vancouver
Company: Great Basin Staffing LLC (GBS)
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00/hr W2 (DOE) + OT eligible
Schedule: Full-time | Expected ≥ 40 hrs/week | 8-hour shifts
Worksites: Portland, OR & Vancouver, WA metro (commercial interiors; occasional multifamily TI)

Role Summary
You’ll hang and finish drywall on commercial buildings (TI, healthcare, education, and multi-unit common areas). Work includes Level 4–5 finishes, punch-list support, and coordination with site foremen.

Responsibilities

  • Make on-site preparations (covering/containment, protection, basic layout).

  • Hang, patch, and finish drywall; match textures ; perform Level 4–5 smooth-wall finishing.

  • Install corner bead, control joints; prime drywall when required.

  • Read basic prints/scope; communicate with GC/foreman on sequencing and QC.

  • Work safely on ladders, planks, lifts, and scaffolds ; maintain a clean site.

Requirements

  • 2+ years verifiable drywall finishing (commercial preferred) .

  • Can hang, tape, mud, texture, and paint touch-ups as needed.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; reliable transportation.

  • Safety-conscious; comfortable on ladders/scaffolds/lifts.

  • Professional, dependable, and attentive to finish quality.

  • Able to pass standard onboarding ( background check and monthly drug screen may be required by site).

Nice to Have

  • Level 5/smooth-wall expertise; hospital/school TI experience; AWCI standards familiarity.

  • Bilingual (EN/ES).
