📍 Seattle & Tacoma, WA | 🕒 Full-time | 💸 $28-30 / hour

We are a mission-driven real estate development and management company focused on revitalizing communities through quality housing and retail. Our Capital Expenditures (CapEx) team plays a critical role in maintaining and improving our portfolio, taking on projects that range from 30-unit apartment remodels to individual unit turns, as well as retail tenant buildouts.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Drywall Finisher/Handyman to join our CapEx team. You will work closely with a three-person crew to self-perform construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate is versatile, detail-oriented, and takes pride in high-quality workmanship across multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform drywall finishing, taping, mudding, and texturing to a professional standard.
  • Assist with demolition, framing, painting, flooring installation, and finish carpentry.
  • Support minor electrical and plumbing tasks as needed, depending on skillset
  • Work on both large-scale apartment remodels and retail tenant improvements.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and property management staff.
  • Occasionally travel between Seattle (Capitol Hill) and Tacoma (Theater District) for project needs.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in drywall finishing and general handyman/construction work.
  • Strong skills in mudding, taping, sanding, and achieving smooth finishes.
  • Working knowledge of multiple trades (framing, painting, flooring, etc.).
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Self-starter with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting between project sites.

Schedule & Location

  • Primary work in Capitol Hill for the first 4 months.
  • Intermittent project-based travel to Tacoma.
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend work as projects demand.
