Ingenium Talent is working with a Louisville-based technology-driven client in their search for a Director of Product & Strategic Operations. This role is responsible for leading cross-functional product execution and operational strategy in a fast-paced, private equity–backed environment. Our client is a leader in providing customized, data-focused solutions for their clients. This role sits at the intersection of product management, technical operations, and strategic planning, ensuring that product roadmaps, development execution, and operational priorities are tightly aligned with business objectives and value-creation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing complex product portfolios, partnering closely with engineering teams, and operating within PE-backed companies where speed, accountability, and measurable outcomes are critical.

Please note that this role is onsite at our client's Louisville, KY headquarters. All qualified candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Louisville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:

Product & Roadmap Leadership

• Own and manage complex, multi-quarter product roadmaps aligned with company strategy and growth objectives.
• Value-Based Road mapping: Establish a clear, EBITDA-aligned technology and data product roadmap.
• Build rigorous business cases through a Private Equity lens, calculating ROI and payback periods for all platform modernizations.
• Translate business goals into clear product initiatives, technical requirements, and execution plans.

Strategic Operations

• Drive operational rigor across product and technical teams, including planning cadences, prioritization frameworks, and performance tracking.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, integrations, and value-creation plans typical of PE-backed operations.
• Establish scalable processes to support rapid growth, operational efficiency, and repeatable execution.

Cross-Functional Execution

• Act as a key liaison between product management, engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure development teams have clear requirements, priorities, and success metrics.
• Lead cross-functional planning sessions, roadmap reviews, and post-launch evaluations.

Private Equity Engagement

• Operate effectively in a PE-backed environment with a focus on ROI, velocity, and operational discipline.
• Support board-level and investor reporting with clear insights into product performance, delivery timelines, and strategic impact.
• Contribute to M&A-related product and operational integration efforts, as applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in product management, technical operations, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience managing complex product roadmaps and delivering software or technology-enabled products at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with development and engineering teams, translating strategy into execution.
• Required experience in private equity–backed companies, including exposure to growth initiatives, operational transformation, or post-acquisition integration.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math is required; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
