Job Title: Business Analyst IV

Location-Type: Hybrid (Onsite in Quincy, MA 3 days/week)

Start Date Is: Nov 24, 2025 or ASAP

Duration: 12 months (contract)

Compensation Range: $35-45/hr

Job Description:

Drive business and functional requirement gathering for legacy mainframe systems and oversee third-party development execution.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Write functional requirements and recommend solutions for third-party developers
• Oversee development activities and test reviews
• Navigate mainframe systems using assigned user ID
• Lead meetings with development teams to address issues and progress
• Collaborate with business stakeholders for requirement gathering and documentation
• Coordinate UAT efforts, track results, and share feedback
• Analyze and resolve issues impacting scope or delivery
• Gather LOEs, manage task planning and execution
• Support merchandising applications and provide SME backup
• Replan tasks based on shifting priorities or new mandates

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Strong legacy mainframe background
• Proficient in COBOL and DB2
• Understanding of diverse database structures
• Skilled in writing functional requirements
• UAT experience with business teams
• Experience managing third-party development vendors
• Ability to navigate mainframe environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Haves:

• Easytrieve experience
• Familiarity with IMS and VSAM
• JCL and SQL proficiency
• Experience with documentation tools
• Prior work with Merchandising or Retail applications
