Backend Software Engineer

LaSalle Network is partnering with a high-growth client to bring on a Mid-Level Software Engineer for their Survey Engineering team. This is a full-time opportunity for a motivated engineer to take ownership of backend systems and play a key role in building scalable, data-driven applications. You’ll work within a modern, cloud-first environment using technologies like Python, Django, SQL, Docker, and GitHub. Ideal candidates bring a problem-solving mindset, an eagerness to collaborate across teams, and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Mid-Level Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services with Python and Django
• Design scalable database structures and write optimized SQL queries
• Build and manage Docker-based containers for dev and production
• Participate in peer code reviews and support continuous integration workflows
• Implement features that integrate with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet engineering goals and timelines
• Ensure application reliability, performance, and data integrity

Mid-Level Software Engineer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of backend development experience
• Expertise in Python, Django, SQL, and containerization tools
• Experience with GitHub and familiarity with agile workflows
• Knowledge of cloud deployment with AWS or Azure is preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
